Nov 2

Just got back from a lovely evening of dinner (Barney's Gourmet Hamburgers -- yum) and theater (Tom Stoppard's Travesties put on by the Actors Ensemble of Berkeley)  I'm likely to take in other shows this season, in particular Chekhov's Three Sisters.

Sad and bad news: it seems as though Microsoft has won the battle against the government (and a healthy computing ecosystem.)

David Denby: "We are passing through an intensely patriotic moment, and many of us who write or teach or perform for a living would like to put our shoulders to the wheel, if only we could find a wheel."

As I blog more and more these days, I'm now wanting my friends to blog too. What method should I recommend to them? Ideally, the service would be free or very cheap and be very easy to use. Blogger? Radio? (There's no generally available free Manila hosting now as far as I can see.)
