Clinton to speak at Berkeley Next Week

Daily Cal

Former President Bill Clinton is expected to speak at UC Berkeley next week.

Clinton, who has returned to the spotlight after several months off the media's radar screen, is expected to speak exclusively to a crowd of students and university faculty and staff.

The event is scheduled to take place Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. in Zellerbach Auditorium.

Tickets to the free event can be obtained beginning tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Cal Performances box office.

I think that I might go. Anyone else interested?

Shakespeare site

Brock Read (Chron Higher Ed) "Stephen Marx created his Web site, Triangulating Shakespeare, to house video recordings of student performances of Shakespeare that he couldn't bear to throw away."

Courselets at Stanford

Stanford Center for Professional Development: "AThe Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD), working with School of Engineering faculty, is developing a comprehensive portfolio of courselets - self-contained, integrated sets of web-based learning materials and tools designed as a custom tutorial and offered online in support of Stanford engineering, science and engineering management courses. The two-year project is supported by a $400,000 grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation with additional resources from Stanford University." [link from Syllabus News]

Something smaller than a course but larger than a small learning object?
