2002/03/22: Leaving for Toronto tomorrow
Generating the permalinks in my blog
Patrick asks me how I generate the permalinks on my blog. The basic answer is that I use Radio to edit my blog entry as an outline to which I apply a "Rule" to generate HTML. In the relevant Rule, I have something to indicate that I want permalink generation. See a previous post on my blog, as well as How to use Radio with Manila.
I realize that is explanation is a tad cryptic -- and I can unpack it if you are interested.
I'm off to Toronto for a week
I will be flying to Toronto where my family lives. I also call it home, another home besides Berkeley. I didn't get around today to blogging more about my plans for my citation manager. That will have to wait. I'll also keep my computer activities to a minimum since I'll be on vacation and need a break. But don't be surprised if I do blog a bit from Toronto. (Blogging has become a big part of my daily life -- execpt for the weekends I've noticed.)
(I'm grateful that David Carter-Tod responded thoughtfully to my ramblings from yesterday. I hope that we can pick up the conversation when I get back to Berkeley.)
Your Comments?
BTW, I had a great time in Toronto
