METS to IMS (first rough cut) #

I've started to think about moving to working on METS.  So far my work on integrating library resources with educational technology specifications has focused on the Making of America II (MOA2) specificaton.  However, MOA2 successor -- METS -- is being developed and adopted.  I've figured that since METS is based on MOA2, it won't be too hard to adapt the MOA2 I've done so far to handle METS.

Here's a first example of such work:  an XSLT to transform some of the structure in a METS object to IMS

We can use the W3C XSLT service to see this XSLT in action.  Let's take a sample METS object from Berkeley (one of the objects listed at the METS site) -- and transform it to an IMS manifest (suitable for import into a learning management system).
