Wayne Hodgins on learning objects #
I recommend this audio/slide presentation of Wayne Hodgins (of Autodesk) on learning objects.   Considered by some to be the creator of the "learning object" term, he has a lot of useful things to say about the subject.  It's nice to hear Hodgins talk about the subject, especially after viewing his slides in the past.

Ecco available for download from Netmanage #

I can't tell you how thrilled I am that Netmanage has made Ecco Pro (my favorite computer program of all time) available for free download.  The program is about five years old but remains the best personal information manager out there (as far as I can see).  Now, I'm hoping that Mitch Kapor's Chandler project will provide a worthy successor to EccoPro -- but that's a way's off yet.

If anyone out there wants to learn more about Ecco, drop me a line... Or sign up for the Ecco Pro Yahoo group for mutual aid.

(FYI, in case you have doubts, see Wayne Cressman's argument on why Ecco is still a very viable product five years later.)
