Some thoughts during the busyness #

Tomorrow, I'll set up camp at the Westin Santa Clara Hotel to attend the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference.  I'll be speaking on Thursday and am feeling more or less prepared (sometimes "less" more than "more").  I wish I could get across all the exciting new developments in the worlds that I follow, especially, in the edu-blogging community of which I am a sometimes present/sometimes prodigal member.  (I feel honored to listed in George Siemens' list of edubloggers, though given the paucity of edublogging reflections some days on my own blog, I feel that the I'm not doing my part for the community -- but George, don't take me off the list. :-))  I need some time myself to absorb what's been happening -- and there has been a lot, including the setting up of an Open Education site and mailing list with some very good people involved.

My hope is to participate more actively in that community soon -- I'm hoping for some good reflection and good schmoozing time while in Santa Clara.   (I'll play with the online connecting software that might help us forge real-life connections while at the conference.)
