Resource List Interoperability charter has been posted #

The charter for the Resources List Interoperability SIG at the IMS is of great interest to us at the IU.  We will definitely have more to say about it -- but I wanted to get the info out there to the edublogging community (thanks to Oliver Heyer, who chairs the SIG for the link).  The work of the SIG is briefly described  is in the context of a larger scope of other work in progress at the IMS:

Resource List Interoperability - This effort is defining a specification for the interoperability of resource lists (e.g. reading lists) between Library Information Management Systems and elearning systems, such as Course Management Systems. It is defining the data and web services for exchanging the data. The effort is expected to be completed in late 2003. The work is chaired by the University of California Berkeley. Participants include WebCT, Sentient, Stanford University, Australia (DEST), UK (CETIS), Talis Information Systems, Industry Canada, and others.
