the long road to Web 2.0 #
Even when you don't know what's happening exactly, it's sometimes useful to attach a silly name to the amorphous changes afoot. That's how I see the name "Web 2.0", the moniker that O'Reilly and Associates have coined to talk about the web-as-a-platform. It's been a long struggle to understand what's up with the Web. Years ago, I tried to understand the changes and explain them in a article I wrote, The sea change of the Web: What is the Second-Generation, Semantic Web?. I guess we've been on revision 2.0 all this time!
