Trying out Yahoo maps API #
Recently, three big things happened in the world of mapping-for-everyone:

As a way back into the mapping work, I decided to figure out how hard it is to use the Yahoo Maps API by creating an XML input file by hand to get the following map: test map with 2 Flickr photos.

I hope to come back to write up detailed information on how I did this, but I do recommend reading Documentation for Yahoo! Maps Web Services, studying some sample XML (such as mine), and then creating your own XML file to feed to Yahoo maps. I must say the fact that Yahoo allows one to enter addresses is a current advantage over Google, which does not provide geocoding (as of my writing this paragraph.)
