Redoing my blog #

My weblog has been due for a makeover for a while. There are quite a few things to address, but let me mention one right now. I have been feeling the need to better categorize my posts, not only so that my readers (and I) can find posts by topic but also so people can see only posts of certain topics. Now that my blog has kindly been listed a good site for reading about educational technology interoperability, I don't want people who come here to read about IMS to have to wade through my pictures from Toronto, for example, or a Bach panegyric (which I also want to have here).

So what are some solutions? (If anyone has some ideas, that would be great.) I don't want to want to break any URLs. I still want to use Manila (though I should give so more thought to moving over to Radio or so other blogging software.) I'm thinking of switching over to using News items

OK -- I've switched over to news items but got frustrated with the complex templates.  I need to work now on redoing the whole look and feel to my blog.  In the meantime, I've reverted to one of the simplest themes I know of.
