wxPerl is a real possibility #

I've been learing wxPython (which is Python + wxWindows) so that I can build multiplatform graphical user interfaces in Python.  I am also programming in Perl and knew that wxPerl also existed (a Perl binding to the wxWindows library).  However, the low version number on wxPerl made me think that it wasn't mature enough for a non-hacker like me to dive in.

Today, I came across a nice tutorial article on wxPerl that convinced me to take a second look at wxPerl.  The mailing list also shows that the community of users of wxPerl is active.  Learning wxPerl is beneficial since I can leverage whatever I know from using wxWindows from writing wxPython programs.

(I'm still excited about the possibility of using Java GUI via Jython -- but still have to try that out in any serious fashion.)
