Notelets for 2003/03/13 #

Yesterday, after reading on archive.org that TK3  (from Night Kitchen) is "a beautiful format, and well worth trying", I decided that I must just drop everything and give it a try.

After looking at two sample books, I figure that I must look more since I didn't quite see what the raves are all about.   The books do look great but what can TK3 do that other formats can't?  Besides, the file format is proprietary.   Perhaps it's the authoring tool that makes TK3 special -- maybe it's much easier to author books with TK3 than with competing products.   (I found a review of TK3 published in 2001.)

Clutter, a cool interface to organizing mp3s on an OS X machine -- I like the use of amazon.com to extract album cover images.

*

A package from McMillan Enterprises to enable the distribution of python apps.
