Notelets for 2003/05/02 #

Hello -- I'm back from Washington, D.C. and am now able to post to my blog.  As Chris already noted on his blog, a power outage killed some networking equipment that connects our server to the rest of the world.  Am I so glad to be back online!

The talk by J.C. Herz really has convinced me to see blogging as a game of speed -- and that I should blog more and more quickly and to worry more about getting ideas/observations out there than about getting everything pinned down precisely.  I want my prose to be perfect but the perfect is the enemy of the good -- or is the good the enemy of the perfect.  (Consulting the fount of all information, I see that it's both....)

I'm surprised but pleased that the American Library Association decided to go ahead with holding its annual meeting in Toronto as originally planned.
